Website Revival: A New Chapter
After a two-year hiatus, I've completely revamped my personal website. The previous version, built during my early days in development, served as a valuable learning experience. Now, it's time for a more sophisticated iteration that better reflects my current skills and professional journey.
Embracing Next.js and Tailwind CSS
While initially considering Vite for this project, the addition of a blog section highlighted the importance of robust SEO capabilities. This led me to choose Next.js 14, which offers exceptional metadata control and SEO optimization features. The decision has proven invaluable for creating a performant, search-engine-friendly website.
The app router in Next.js has been particularly impressive, providing an elegant solution for managing complex navigation structures while seamlessly integrating with other framework features. This architectural choice has significantly enhanced the development experience.
For styling, Tailwind CSS was the natural choice. Coming from a mobile development background, Tailwind's utility-first approach has provided an efficient and maintainable way to implement responsive designs, making the transition to web development remarkably smooth.
New Features and Projects
The new website showcases several projects that demonstrate my technical capabilities, including an integration with the Spotify Web API that offers insights into my musical preferences. Additionally, I've introduced a blog section where I'll share technical insights, industry observations, and professional experiences.
Explore the New Experience
I invite you to explore the new website and discover the projects I've been developing. From technical implementations to personal insights, there's plenty to explore. Feel free to reach out if you'd like to discuss any particular aspect or potential collaborations.
